Wallace McDowall Ltd, part of the HLD Group, are proud to announce one of our interns Natasha Pell, has been awarded the Scottish Engineering Young Engineer of the Year Award for 2023. Natasha (20 years of age) is currently at Strathclyde University, studying Mechanical Engineering as well as developing her skills working with the company as a Process Improvement Engineer during term time and holidays.
To date Natasha has been developing our processes to enable us to integrate COBOTS with our existing skilled employees in various departments. This enables the business to develop and push forward in an increasingly difficult employment market and because of the well publicised skills shortages within Engineering not only in Scotland but across the UK.
Wallace McDowall Ltd are committed to developing our employees and to nurture young talent through both our apprenticeship program in partnership with Ayrshire College and working closely with local universities to employ interns and under graduates. This allows us to develop our workforce of the future and supported by investment in the latest technologies enables us to support our customers.
